More than 1,000 gamers from Mississauga and beyond are expected to gather in town this Sunday (Aug. 7) to do what they do best.

Gaming Reimagined is a one-day event held at the Mississauga Convention Center that invites gamers to try out thousands of games.

The GAMEX-hosted extravaganza lasts all day from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

More than 100 exhibitor stations will also feature tens of thousands of video games, trading cards, comic books and other memorabilia for visitors to buy, sell and barter, organizers said.

“Whether you’re looking to finish a collection or pick up your childhood favorites, we’ve got you covered,” they add.

The event includes a free game zone where people can try out hundreds of games. Gaming tournaments provide a chance to compare your skills with top players. Games include Smash Bros. Melee and Mario Kart 64 tournaments.

Admission is $8 to $17. However, for those who appear in cosplay outfits, admission is free.
