Kim Kardashian on Kanye West “don’t speak” to her during feud

Kim Kardashian continues to shed light on her explosive feud with ex-husband, Kanye West.

For those in need of a quick refresher, the feud between the exes began erupting publicly in January this year, after Ye began targeting Kim – who filed for divorce from him in February 2021 – and her then-new boyfriend, Pete Davidson, in a series of Instagram posts.

He had expressed his disapproval of Kim kissing Pete as part of a Saturday Night Live sketch several months earlier, in October 2021.

And Ye made several jokes about the comic in the coming months, at the same time expressing his hopes of a reconciliation with Kim and slamming her parenting style in his lyrics. The couple shares four children together: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.

He memorably came up with the nickname “Skete” for Pete while encouraging his fans to “yell” at him in public and accuse him of “destroying” his and Kim’s family.

However, Kim remained largely calm as always during the months this unfolded publicly, only entering the online conversation twice to hit back at Ye’s string of public attacks.

However, with the season 2 rollout of her family’s Hulu show, The Kardashianswe’ve seen little snippets of how Kim really coped while all this was going on.

In this week’s episode, dubbed the season finale, Kim takes a first look at the “height” of the messy feud.

It begins with Kim explaining the history behind Ye’s iconic Pastelle jacket that their eldest daughter, North, wore during Paris Fashion Week in July.

Backstage at the esteemed event, Kim North cheers on as she poses in the familiar garment.

“That’s her dad’s jacket,” says Kim, before showing photos of Ye wearing the piece at the 2008 American Music Awards, adding that wearing it would make North a “huge fashion moment.”

But Kim goes on to explain that getting the jacket wasn’t as easy as some might have thought.

“Kanye tends not to care about his stuff and gives it all away, and [the jacket] ended up on the internet,” she reveals, adding that she “got it last week.”

And Kim then describes how committed she is to getting all of Ye’s valuables, explaining that she made sure to contact him even “at the height” of their feud.

“Kanye knows I’m so protective of his stuff for the kids,” she explains. “Even now when he was at his peak of not talking to me and being mad at me, he won a few Grammys and I still contacted him.”

“I was like, ‘I know you just won some Grammys, I need to add them to the vault.’ And he says, ‘OK,'” she reveals.

‘Because the kids want them, you know? And I want them all together. So I got them all together,” she adds.

Kim explained why she finally decided to call Ye for lying in the comments to one of his Instagram posts: “Kanye posted, ‘I can’t see the kids.’ And I’m like, “You were here this morning. Stop this story.” … I can’t take it anymore.”

However, Kim was then quick to add that she didn’t want to “go back and forth on the internet,” explaining her decision to keep things offline again.
