Katherine Ryan has alleged that the well-known “predator” she accused during an on-set confrontation committed sexual assault.

Reinforcing her previous statements about the unnamed well-known star, Canadian-born comedian Ryan said even discussing the issue was “very dangerous.”

She told Louis Theroux in a new interview: “This person I believe very strongly — and many people also believe very strongly as an open secret — is a perpetrator of sexual assault,” The Sun reported.

The new episode of Louis Theroux Interviews with Katherine Ryan airs on BBC2 on Tuesday

Ms Ryan, 39, added: ‘I’ve said in front of a lot of people, in the form of the show, to this person’s face that they were a predator, a lot of times. I told him to his face he was a predator.’

Challenged by Theroux about why she didn’t name the person publicly and possibly protect future victims, Ryan said, “It’s very dangerous for us to have this conversation, I’m glad to have it, but it’s a minefield.”

“Because a lot of people have tried to get this person arrested for their alleged crimes, and this person has very good lawyers, so am I going to risk my mortgage saying who this person is, or engaging in such conversations? ?

“We’ve seen what happens to people who talk about alleged predators. I mean, it’s not really my story to tell. No one has sexually assaulted me.”

Ryan made the bold revelation in June that what she believes is an abuser working in the television industry during an interview with fellow comedian Sara Pascoe, who she also believes knows about the man’s identity.

Miss Pascoe also revealed that she reported a male celebrity to a television channel after receiving a call from a viewer claiming to have been raped by him.

Miss Pascoe, 41, said: ‘Have you ever done a job and someone contacted you and said, ‘That’s my rapist’?

“I had it on a job the other day where I had to go to the channel, and it’s that whole thing because you feel such a sense of responsibility, but you also want it to be handled properly… it’s so complicated.”

Since 2017, several high-profile British celebrities have been the subject of MeToo accusations.

Separately, more than 10,000 current and former high school students in the UK have anonymously shared their experiences of sexual harassment and rape culture on the website Everyone’s Invited.
