Wade Randall describes himself as a ‘video game nerd’.
Now he is about to share that love with the Harrisburg community.
Conquer Escape Room is not new to the area, but now the company is now adding a gaming aspect to the community. It is accompanied by 12 “high-end” PCs, virtual reality setups. That includes a Hologate arena, a multiplayer virtual reality system that uses haptic vests and hand controllers.
The company will also have six modern consoles, including three Playstation 5s, three Xbox Series X devices and Nintendo Switches. There is also a “retro station”, which includes Playstation 1 and Nintendo 64.
“(You can play any game you can think of, and if we don’t have it, we’ll get it,” said owner Wade Randall. “…The concept is really just to create a social space for gamers to to be able to play on the latest hardware… We just want to capitalize on the number of people who are gaming and give them the best experience they can at the absolute most affordable price we can.”
It is located in a massive facility of about 100,000 square feet, according to Randall, and includes escape rooms, a trampoline park and basketball courts.

Along with the new gaming center, Randle said the company anticipates adding an 18-by-20-foot bar above, along with classic arcade games. It is expected to open in January 2023. The company expects to target the older population with classic games and tabletop gaming.
“Here we’ll have some more of the traditional stuff, but that’s in the future,” Randle said.
Within the play area, Conquer will also plan to serve alcoholic beverages, including beer and wine, once it’s underway. And the plan is to add snacks like chips, soda, and candy.

Plans for leagues, tournaments
Conquer Gaming also plans to host leagues and tournaments once it launches. And there will be big prizes.
Potential prizes include a $3,000 cash prize, TVs, game consoles, and a 3090 gaming PC, which is “top of the line.” Tournament games include Fortnite, Call of Duty, and Smash Bros – just to name a few.
At Conquer gaming, the opening weekend is completely free for two hours of gaming.
For the opening month, it’s ‘buy an hour and get an hour free’.
- Premium Station (includes high-end 3090 PCs, Index VR): $7 per hour
- PCs: $6/hr, $14/3hrs.
- Consoles (PS5, Xbox Series X): $4/hr, $10/3hr
- Retro Station: (Playstation 1, Nintendo 64, Nintendo Switch): $3/hour
For consoles, Conquer offers GamePass, allowing users to download specific games they want to play and even log into their own Playstation and Xbox accounts.
Conquer Gaming also offers $20 all-day tickets that expire at midnight, or all-night passes for $25.
The focus for the company is to keep it cost-effective. With COVID-19 throwing a wrench into the supply chain, Randall found that chips were extremely expensive, so he decided to make gaming more accessible.
“We’re not going to charge for remotes… We’re not going to. We’re basically trying to provide the most luxurious, high-quality experience you can offer, for as little money as possible,” Randle said. “We’re building it not to be a profit center, but we want to build a community.”
The business is open from Sunday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. And then on weekends, the business is open the next day from 11 a.m. to 8 a.m. Conquer Escape Room and Gaming is located in Harrisburg at 310 Industrial Rd., and the gaming center will launch October 1.
