8 miss Fulham with Klopp open for transfer – Latest from Liverpool FC – Liverpool FC

As Liverpool prepare to return to Premier League action, Jurgen Klopp has provided a comprehensive injury update and suggested the club have not ruled out making further signings this summer.

At least 8 players banned from Fulham opener

In his pre-match press conference on Friday, Klopp gave the latest on a number of players currently sidelined.

The good news is that Alisson is now “all right” and ready to return to the starting lineup after missing most of the pre-season with an abdominal injury.

However, Caoimhin Kelleher, Calvin Ramsay, Kaide Gordon and Diogo Jota will not be out as they have missed all of the summer’s exhibition games due to injury.

Ibrahima Konate, Kostas Tsimikas, Curtis Jones and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have also been sidelined after suffering setbacks during pre-season.

Naby Keita missed Sunday’s friendly against Strasbourg due to illness, but could still be available for the trip to Craven Cottage, where Klopp expected the Guinean to train on Friday.

The Liverpool boss says the club doesn’t feel they need to re-enter the market for reinforcements at this stage, but added: “The transfer window is still open so we’ll see.”
