2022 Presidents Cup Scores, Results: Live Coverage, Standings, Golf Updates, Schedule for Day 1 on Thursday

The Presidents Cup 2022 has arrived. After a long year of controversies over player alignment, the sorting of the captaincy roster and chatter about what to do to make this event more exciting in the future, there really is golf to play. While many are predicting a blowout from the United States, the magic of team golf at this level is that it almost always feels closer than it is, longer than it should.

That wasn’t the case in 2017 when the US side definitely waxed the international team, but hopefully with an amalgamation of big hitters, young stars and an us-against-the-world attitude, we’ll get a Presidents Cup that interesting to say the least because of most of Sunday’s singles matches. If you’re looking for where the event could be running, look no further than the first day. The US has had the international side in foursome games over the past 15 years and has done most of their damage within this particular format. If that happens again – there’s no reason to believe it won’t – the red, white and blue will likely go to the races.
